I read the ad but it's not clear. Is this one of the "new" Elenore cars?

More like a Mustang version of a Singer 911...

Good looking car but what is a 500KR going for? I mean an original KR not a "singer" version

Seems you could duplicate the car for under $100K.

Initial thought was I like but the pic of the front grill and lights, not so much. Can that even be considered a '68?

I was always obsessed with the new Gone in 60 seconds as a kid, so this car had and probably always will have a certain coolness to me. I know it was all fake, but the sounds the car "made" in the movie always mesmerized me.

You could, with money left over. body shells are $10,000, so go from there. I've noticed many cars at the BJ auction are going for much less than just a few years ago. I'm not surprised, given the economy, but somebody is taking a bath. There are some "bargins" there for sure, just depends on what bargain means to each. The Mustang above looks like all the other Elenore mustangs from a few years ago. There must be tons of those around.

Like to do a show about buyers remorse after these auctions.
"Great I just spent 80 grand on a 1970 nova with rare matching numbers almost like the one I drove in HS, but after a drive I realizes it still just a Nova...dang...and I only paid 75 dollars for my first one...." |

Absurd. Its a freaking clone.
Look at the seam where the hood meets the body. Nice kit car build standards. |

The guy had about $85k in the car. I saw it go through and I kept saying to myself "I'm missing something.....". I don't understand how a clone (a very well equiped Stang) sold for $220k when a real GT500KR sold around $77k. I guess the old saying is true....A fool and his money shall soon depart.
More later.

Gahh. I hate Elanors almost as much as the new Shelby GT500s. So ugly.
Boss 302s and classic GT350s are so much better looking.
