It looks to me like a Verona Red tii that's been modified more than a little bit. I've never seen anybody put '74-76 taillights or front grille on a roundie, but I'd be inclined to do it, as I think they look better. Not a big fan of those 320i wheels; lots of people put different seats in these. As far as fiberglass hood and trunk lid, I don't know if that a good mod or perhaps a way to get rid of rusty parts. If there's bubbles like you say, then IMO the car's got the cancer, and most of them do. I see the separate clock in the dash, which is the mark of a tii. Also lack of carb. Those bumpers look good on the car. Not sure if the flush front turn signals were standard on 1972s, but they weren't in '74-76. The rear side markers are gone, all signs of someone who was personalizing the car to their taste. I would agree with you that the guy had money and did what he wanted to the car. I think the odds are well against that car having 36,000 miles on it.

You'd probably be much better off taking it to a local 2002 specialist, assuming there is one. The value in the car is going to be how strong it is mechanically, how well sorted, and how rust free. It could easily be worth more than $10K, but with some bubbling in the paint, probably not much more. A buyer is going to want to know a lot more about what is actually there and the history before stepping up. How does the car run???

Owned a green Tii many years ago and loved that car. So fun and was an odd duck around the beast American cars of the era. Those are 74 tail lamps and first thought the car might be a euro spec with those bumpers but you stated the title is 1972. The last year of the roundies were 73. With the other mods, the lamps and rear panel were probably changed. I couldn't place a value on this stuff anymore. Good luck and thanks for sharing.
