Deviled with plenty of white vinegar to make them tart & maybe some chopped green onions mixed in.

I also LOVE deviled eggs.

You guys ever hear of that egg dish where you cut a hole in a piece of bread with a upturned glass? You put the buttered bread in a hot frying pan and crack an egg into the hole.

Fry the egg and flip the bread and egg together along with the bread 'hole' that was cut out.
The cooked bread/egg goes on the plate with the toasted bread 'hole' on top of the egg.

I seem to remember the dish being called "crow's nest" or something...

I like wheat toast.

KT
Also called "Toad in the hole". Yum.

Over easy with salt and pepper. Chopped up with the side of my fork then scooped onto buttered sourdough toast.

Soft boiled. Medium. The yoke needs to just start to get guey on the outside and the very center still needs to be liquid. This is a picture of a pefect one. Just add a little salt and enjoy with a slice of fresh home baked bread with butter spread on it ...

I am ready for breakfast ...

Over medium. The egg whites should not be slimy but the yolk should still be liquid. And only in butter - any other oil or fat 'taints' the whites.

And scrambled & in omelets & fried egg sandwiches etc etc . . .

I usually make mine French style, in an omlette. From reading Julia Child's book on French cooking, I learned to shake the pan while the eggs are cooking, and you sort of make a roll, perfectly cooked.
don't forget to cook them over low heat too!

Cook up some chorizo, drain some of the excess fat, add some beaten eggs, mix together, add grated cheese and torn pieces of flour tortilla.

Tastes best when cooked on a Coleman stove on a crisp mountain morning, also at 3 a.m. after a night of partying.

I enjoy eggs very much, which is why I have my own chickens. There is nothing better than a fresh egg. I cannot eat the store eggs anymore...they are not fresh.
Lets see...I like eggs;
hard fried (broken yolks)
Scrambled
Sunny side up
Hard boiled (great snack)
Wild Huevos (cooked strained pork sausage mixed into scrambled eggs and served on soft taco shells with salsa & cheese)

I'm beginning to think I don't have a favorite way. I like all the above and those I haven't tried before I'm going too!

I did the "toad in the hole" or "crow's nest" version of eggs, toast, & bacon in sixth grade camp. We hiked a short way to a place they had set up with a bunch of coffee cans (clean with one end cut out & a hole punched in the side that still had the end) and some piles of twigs & small pieces of wood. Each kid got a coffee can, sat it on some rocks & leveled it with the closed end up. Next we all made a small fire under our coffee cans and received one piece of bacon, one egg, and one slice of bread. We cooked the bacon on the top of the coffee can, tore a hole in the bread, placed it on top of the can and toasted it with the egg in the hole. Toward the end we placed the bacon on top & flipped it over for awhile. That was a really good egg, bacon, & toast breakfast, especially since we were really hungry after the time it took to prepare it.

I prefer over hard most of the time but I do also make a very good scrambled and can do quite good with an omelet as well. I was taught early on how to cook eggs by my Dad who also watched a lot of Julia as well as the Frugal Gourmet (MORE GARLIC).

Interesting recipes. I'll have to try some of these. I just generally stick to scrambled eggs with two slices of American cheese. A conservative amount of ketchup is usually added afterwords. If placed on a grilled bagel/hard roll it is unbelievable good!

Same here! I like soft boiled as well. My Mom's dad was the expert on eating soft boiled eggs. Now you put some corned beef hash with eggs and you have a winner.

Miss my mom.

Growing up, we called that "egg with a hole in the middle" The total package...fried egg and the toast to soak up the yoke; love it to this day.

My GF is a GREAT cook, and I'm not kidding. But I do better eggs. This morning, had two fried eggs, over easy, with a piece of toast. There are many thing wonderful about eggs....the protein and all that stuff....but the coolest thing about them is that they come with their own sauce. Scrambled eggs are great.....and scrambled egg sandwiches must have a light coat of mayonnaise in my humble opinion.....but gently fried eggs (or poached) and toast is truly the basis for a perfect breakfast.
