get ride of pop up?
Help. How do I get rid of this pop up from office depot? I click the close "x" button. as soon as I go and click it, another page comes back on and it just keeps going. I had to restart my computer to get rid of it. It is a mac by the way, if that makes a difference. Fuch, that pisses me off trying to look up some stuff.

You may need to run 'adaware' or another antivirus program. Full scan. Microsoft Security Essentials found one for me..

Malwarebytes is another very good program for getting rid of adware.
Malwarebytes : Malwarebytes Anti-Malware PRO removes malware including viruses, spyware, worms and trojans, plus it protects your computer My company's IT organization uses it. |

I'd like to get rid of the pop ups on my iPhone when I look at Fox News mobile. It's the only site that has it, so I think it's a conspiracy of some kind.

He's on a Mac. Not malware.
Which browser are you using? Safari, Firefox or Chrome? Just enable pop up/ad blocking in the browser preferences. You don't need to restart either, you can kill a program by holding Command+option keys then hit esc. Brings up the force quit dialog. Select the app and hit force quit. If you are into command line you can also run Terminal and do a standard kill pid. Oh, and run software update to make sure you have latest security patches installed.
