I posted this on PARF but I want to let others know...
Concerning my friends kid who died in a car accident a few weeks ago. I posted a thread and low and behond the trolls and idiots began to emerge...

You guys think you know the story - you do not. The fact of the matter is not just that a couple of kids died senselessly it is also interesting how some of you (who I didn't expect) actually voice an opinion and try to assemble reason or worse call BS on me for posting this story.

Who the heck do you really think you are? Do you really (albeit for a minute) think I give a crap about your 'insight"? I thought I had some friends here that I could dump some crap with and you would listen? I guess not.

What some of you have shown is a total disrespect for me and worse an arrogence that is to a point laughable.

Take a cue from the 'more enlightened' on this forum - think about your post before you type. Its one think to be perverted or try to be funny its different if your just a jerk.

If someone is sharing a painful story regardless if you think it is true or not just let it ride. What the heck difference does it make?

In the past I have asked a few of you who I respect for your opinion and I did so via PM. The rest, the heck with you. I have too much to do and farnkly...This place isn't worth the energy or frustration...

They are always around, even here (some would say especially here).
When we are most affected is when our emotions are deeply involved in our posts. It hurts when you realize someone doesn't give a darn about your pain.
I guess that is why I haven't posted about the deaths of two of my brothers or two others in hospital in the last couple of years. Just don't want to hang it out there.

Can't offer any real good advice, but PMs work both ways.

The trouble with the printed word is that it doesn't always display the emotion and the actual intent of the writer. While I didn't follow that thread beyond the initial posting of your friend's child passing, I have seen quite a few threads go sideways here for no apparent reason.

I've met many Pelicans in person. It's clear that online personas can be misleading to how they conduct themselves face to face. PARF, in particular, destroys the civility that we come to expect from community. You reached out the the community in your time of grief. Unfortunately, it was moved to PARF. Not the place for sensitivity in a time you needed it. On behalf of the fools and trolls, I'm sorry.

I've gotten my panties in a wad a couple of times and left. 6 months the last time. Mike will be back. Few do what Sniper did and go away forever and even he reappeared briefly. And forever ain't over yet.
