Looking 4 a electric pressure washer <$300??

Hello.

I'm in the market for a pressure washer that is NOT gas powered.
High specs. on GPM sways me.

I had a Karcher once and was happy..although it could of spit out more water.
As long as it produces 1.6k-psi and 1.8 gpm it's o.k-BUT-I wish to have water flow.
I don't want to spend more than $300.

Your experiences and advice?-please.-NO combustion engines please.
Thanks huh.

I used the highest gpm electric pressure washer from Home Depot, a Husky. It worked fine for everything I needed. Driveways, fences, sidewalks, undercarriages, etc. Don't think it was even $300.

It was a Husky 2000. Nice unit. One problem, the high pressure hose fitting and the bib on the washer tend to gall together, use a good amount of antiseize there.

Strange I was looking at that one. The price is $219 which seems reasonable but when I looked up the reviews a majority of peeps had *****es about it such as leaks and then the pump didnt work.
Was yours a-okay throughout your washings?
F
Thank you.

Had a real cheap Karcher (their entry model around $120) and it didn't last a year, neither did the replacement. I gave up ...

I've had a Husky from HD for quite a few years......no problems it was way under $300. Use it on the deck, sidewaly, brick and of course my vehicles.

Yes it was fine. I think Home Depot's return policy is decent if there's problems.

I picked up the smaller 1500 Greenworks at Lowes this weekend b/c the wife wanted one she could operate easily to clean the screened in porch and decks. Great for small jobs and won't take up much storage space. $89 on sale.

My Karcher has been great (going on I think five years now) operationally.

One thing to watch is the interchangeable nozzles like to not fully seat. Normally you push them in and give them a 1/4 turn to seat them, but I've noticed they often don't fully seat and are not actually locked into position, even though they might look it. I found this out the hard way a couple of years ago when I aimed the nozzle at my Benz and squeezed it on. Fking thing launched the nozzle right out of the hand piece and right into the sidemarker light, shattering it. $120 to replace. Grr.

At the very least, each and every time you replace the nozzle, aim it in a safe direction and spray just to ensure it's properly seated. Live and learn. Other than that however, it's been great.

I got a great deal on a Honda P/W. It is my neighbors and I store it for him in my shed. He has not used in in 4 years. I use it twice a year.

After the third electric power washer, and first gas power washer died, I went for one with a 7 year warranty. Yes, it's gas powered (sorry!). It's a Simpson Water Blaster with a Honda motor and a belt driven pump by Comet.

There are some commercial units I saw down in New Zealand, for small business auto shops, wall mounted, high pressure, not Lowes/Home Depot consumer crap.........

don't know the costs, but you get what you pay for, $300 isn't much when you're talking quality motor/pump/hose/wand/tips.

buy it once, buy it right, but maybe a cheap disposable Autozone or PepBoyz unit is what you want/need for only $300
