Quiznos or Subway
I know, both are pretty bad. But I love a good fresh sandwich quickly.
I love Reubens and Club sandwiches, but you have to go to a sit down place or Togo's, which is hard to get to during a busy day. I find myself eating lunch at either Quizno's or Subway. I started to wonder why Subway seems to be doing so much better than Quiznos. Why is that? And why has Port O' Subs all but vanished? |

Foot Long isn't too bad. I hate Togos. Quiznos is just weak.

I think I recall reading/hearing LOTS of Quizno's franchisees bailing out/going under because of being held by the nose (you'll buy EVERYTHING from the mothership at what ever price they deem appropriate) and being kicked in the tackle (flooding of your market with steep discount coupons).
Maybe it's that way for all franchisees? |

Both places' hot subs suck greasy donkey ba....s
the foot long $5 Subway turkey/ham club is hard to beat for value (heck it's $5 buck, which doesn't even buy you crap at McDonalds) I can't hardly finish a foot long in one sitting, I'll eat the first 1/2 one day, and work around the soggy bread the second half next day for lunch...

I can be on the road or working all day, be in the middle of nowhere, night time, hungry as hell, and no matter what I can always find a Subway sandwich place. I had the Quiznos club today. It was ok, but the best part was the luncheon style meat. I guess that accounts for the fact that you don't see more Quiznos.

I can't believe I ate in a Subway like 35 years ago and liked it and didn't invest. But then again about 20 years ago I saw where you could order a pound of coffee for like $10 from this company called Starbucks, and I thought who the hell would pay $10 for a friggin pound of coffee? Don't ask me for investment advise. Oh, and I bought Apple at like $5 and sold it at $8.
Oh, and to the subject matter, Subway has upped their game considerably in the past few years. I ate both Subway and Quiznos last week in Albuquerque, I think Subway offers better value.

I hate Subway because many of their ingredients taste like they are made of rubber. Or incredibly bland.
I hate Quiznos because their subs are way overpriced compared to Subway. Yet I had Quiznos for lunch today.

Quizno's over subway any day.
Subway is doing so well cause of their $5 footlongs...and all the marketing. Quizno's is hurting cause of their supply chain and problems between corporate & franchisee's. Most have already closed their doors cause of how bad it is. |

Yep, I like them better, really is owned by former Fireman and local. They do alot to help their fellow fire fighters and the food isn't bad. Quiznos, tried it once or twice, like it the least.

Subway is across the street from the office.
Zeke, you are going to the wrong Togo's. Yellow Submarine near UCSF or this place around the corner from Sears(the coffee shop not the department store) Pt of mine owned it, best Jewish soul food I ever have had.

If I HAD to choose between the two, Subway, but they are both down the list. Above them would be Schlotskys, Lenny's, Firehouse in no particular order.

Quiznos is better, Subway is cheaper. I can make a long list of places that are better than both.
