Don't think that will "buff right out"...
the real $$damage > rear suspension....

What year is it? If its older than 5 years I'd say its a write off, have you talked to the insurance company yet?

It's an 06.
I'm OK so far....minor bruise while spinning into the parking lot. I've done worse at AX.......cept for the thump.
Air bags never blew.....a relatively gradual halt.
Yeah, I talked to ins.....it's only been bout 4 hours since it happened.
The other folks got blasted with their bags.......the lady driving was pretty shook up and went to the hospital.

Frame looked OK but that was just an eyeball. Spring attach points to the frame are still in place. The cab may be tweaked tho. Popped the driveline out of the trans.

I figure it's gone, but I would rather have it fixed. Less that 48K miles with all the goodies I wanted. New bed, new rear door which look to be replaceable.....decent dent in the cab tho in a tough spot. Paint match would be tough.....but it's a truck, eh?

BTW: I had a tow extension in the closed canopy in a closed side compartment of the bed liner. That ended bout 40 feet from where the truck ended up.

It's been about 35 years since my last shamazal.....hope this is not the start of a new trend.

Insurance usually goes up to 75% of value of the vehicle before a write off. What's the market value of it?

So 14K is the line. I'd say they fix it. Depends on the frame damage to the left side rail.

I wouldn't want to drive it after "repair".

Looks like a 10-30deg oncoming right front hit.
They bounced off the wheel/axle.
Big vehicle, because the paint scrapes are up high.

They weren't driving a semi?

Glad to hear you're alright, JP. Did she run a light/stop sign?

Nope, my fault. Misdirected attention on my part. I did a left in front of her

IT was a Hundai Sonata, Hugh. I think my rear tire rode her up in the air.
Note no contact marks on frame.
Nuther pic. ......
