Michael Shumacher's F1 Car
At cars and coffee I got to sit in Michael Shumacher's F1 car. A friend of mine owns the car and races it all over the world and is supported by the Ferrari mechanics that actually worked on the car in the day. Now that is an expensive hobby.
It was a challenge getting my 6' 220 pound frame in the car. My friend Dr. N is the same size as Shumacher. I was amazed how you lay down in the car, me being used to sitting up right in my race car. ![]()

I went to high school with a girl that was on the large size. She drove a MG Midget. We used to say she didn't get into her car, she put it on. Same applies here.

I'm 6'5", and weigh around 200lb. During my junior year, while I was 6'3' and 175lbs, I drove a '72 Beetle. Senior year, I was the same size, but I drove an '87 MR2 and started to catch some of the same funny remarks from kids in the parking lot. "Man, when Joe get outa his car, fool keep gettin' out, and gettin' out, and gettin' out." ![]() 126Coupe: Wow. What an opportunity! I'd be honored just to see the car up close. I couldn't imagine the chance to 'try it on'. Thanks for posting the pics.

I can't even dream about it, there's no way I'd ever fit in one of those.
