				US. G.Prix tickets __WOW-O-WOW$$$$

I know the economy is booming , but the ticket prices for the upcoming US Gran Prix are astounding. A seat in the grandstand will cost between $2500 and $6750.00, a seat. The cost for a cheapest season ticket is $500.00, plus $2000 for a "personal seating license". Having a "season ticket" only gets you first dibs on buying a ticket, not A ticket. Three temporary grandstands will also be built, but those prices will also be between $3775 to $6750. This GP will easily be among the most expensive on the F1 circuit. What am I missing here, why in the world would this have to be? Last time in Indy, I got front row for $75.00 and turn 12 or 13 for $50. Like I said, things are booming.

I used to go to Grand Prix, but the quality of racing (and pricing!) and the elitism turned me off. I now go to MotoGP races in the USA. The racing is great, the atmosphere fantastic and almost all of the pomp of a Grand Prix...When they are at Indy, you can even walk down pit row and touch the yard of bricks. Too cool!!

That's a little steep to say the least. Won't that be a bit of a hard sell in the states?

What stupid, greedy, short-sighed ignorance. Instead of attempting to build a fan base for F1 they have guaranteed its failure. I can't think of a single major sporting event where the cheap seats are anywhere near this expensive, do they really think people will pay? Had they been $100/each I would have taken my son without a second thought.

I was just thinking it would be cool to reward myself next season with a trip to see the USGP. But holy smokes, that is just stupid expensive. No deal.

Ours is $8, and the beer is still cheap. I'll probably hit the World of Outlaws sprint cars again this year (4th in a row) when they come to Dodge City, and I may try to make it to the NHRA Summernationals at Heartland Park. Both of those "expensive" races will set me back a whopping $35 each.

I was on the list and have seen the prices that you're quoting. Actually, I think the cheapest so far is 1500 for a psl and 375 for a ticket. I'm curious to see what the individual seats cost. I'm not about to buy a psl and then be committed to buying an F1 ticket very year for the next 15 years.

We had planned on going but those prices are just stupid. I heard that even the cheap motels were charging over a grand a night. There is no event possible to get me to pay those prices. A double bill of Elvis & the Beatles would not be enough.

I'll be attending the race. In the parking lot. Looking for 'investors' in my new 'company'. You have to figure anyone detached enough from their money to piss it away like that could always us a 'great new investment opportunity'.

Those prices are for PSL's...Personal Seat Licenses. I think they're 10 yrs...for F1, V-8 Supercars and Moto GP. I put in to reserve a seat, but told them no thanks. We'll get GA tix, haul or rent a motorhome and stay on a Ferrarichat guys prop for free. Oh, and free hog hunting after that.

What? Damn nutz. Was just planning to book the room first and ticks last... might not after this. Canada and prior US / Indy were bargains. Would always go on the fly and buy great seats from legal scalpers. Grand Pricks and Bernie has rabid gerbals up his arse.
