Since 1975 USS Nimitz (CVN 68) has stood the watch - many a Shipmate have manned her decks and helped to preserve the American way of life - Bravo Zulu!

One of the comments caught my eye:

Kitty Hawk , America, and Constitution from Vietnam era....were all de-commissioned. Enterprise is next year after this deployment

Life goes on but if we don't remember history - including military history - what's the point?
