Random strange mornings this week....

Sunday: Commotion outside, strange noises, some bumping and banging. Large bird is trying to come in the large picture window. Guess the owl was going to eat one of our cats???? He was looking out the window watching the scene, all very interested and awake. Curious even.


Monday: Starts out as a normal day. I'm ready and out the door with ease (rather a strange happening in and of itself). Get to the meeting place for our carpool and I'm the first one there. Guy whose day it is drives up and I, for some reason, sit in the front seat. Guys show up and we leave early.

I'm sound asleep, quiet drive, nice road noises. Next thing I know I'm startled out of a nice sound sleep, squealing tires, gravel being swung everywhere, and BRIGHT lights filling up the windshield!!!! A gravel truck driver decided his half of the highway comes out of BOTH sides! Our carpool driver narrowly missed a head on accident! Try and go back to sleep at 0530 after that!


Tuesday: WOW! I'm actually ready and leaving even earlier! The horses are happy and laying in the field. Deer are grazing nearby. Stars, everything is OK!

Start heading out the drive to the road and get to the gate when there is a guy in a red striped shirt running up the drive????? Anyway, he and his girlfriend (college students) had stopped on the side road as they were too tired to go on and their battery had died. I am skeptical but they had little in the car besides a bible and school books and there were no cigarettes or alcohol around. I was able to jump start their car but the battery had gone really dead.

So now the county shows up. The officer wants the kids licenses and information. He never asks me what I'm doing there or who I am. The folks who own this road have yet to come down it and they would have stopped to help (well, except for their daughter, she would have called her dad and kept driving I feel). Kids now have to go through the riot act from the county and probably ended up with a ticket. I told the kids it was not me who called them! I hope they beleived me....

Good news is the carpool waited the five extra minutes it took me to get there, officer blocked my truck in.

I think it's time you bought a lottery ticket because your luck run is high. Reward yourself with an extra cup of coffee. Strange encounters come out of nowhere and afflict the innocent. As the movie title says, "heaven can wait" and you will be rewarded in heaven for your good deeds.
