1982 Toyota Land Cruiser 4x4

How about this one? 1982 FJ62 with 165K miles, rust free $2100

You could spend $16K on it, and still be market-correct

I have to admit that the '66 LV I'm helping with has kind of grown on me.

I'd like that one. Not sure it's a fly and drive home though.

fj40's are cool if you are on back or dirt roads. They arent good road cars, unless you just love the thing.

It costs dollars to get them divided hwy worthy for lots of commuting. Around town they are great.

I think I've looked at twenty or so in the past few years. I just can't pull the trigger since I had a '72 many years ago.

I want a certain truck, hard to find.

I have a '72 FJ55. It's great for around town, but much past 50mph & it feels like: "Scotty, she's breaking up, I can't hold her together much longer". (I'm not a trekie & I know that's a misquote, but you get the idea. . . )

It'd been sitting for almost 20 yrs. & it was my winter project to get it running & road worthy. . . pretty simple to work on too. I think the 55 is a bit more niche than the 40s. There are a lot of similar parts between the two - although a lot of the 55-specific ones are becoming hard to find or NLA.
