I have a couple of questions....

that have gone unanswered in the Canada section. This is the first one. On my Boxster's PPI it said that the coolant was not genuine Porsche brand. I am planning on replacing the antifreeze this fall. How important is it that I replace my Boxster's cooling system with real Porsche antifreeze vs. the cheaper brands?

Since Porsche doesn't "make" antifreeze, it's relatively unimportant. Just make sure it meets all the specs and don't worry about brand. The tinfoil hat wearing crowd here on Pelican may disagree with me though, so listen to others and decide for yourself.

I agree with Eric, just make sure you drain the entire system to insure that you aren't mixing types. That will include removing the hoses from your front radiators to drain them fully. There's a lot of people running good old Prestone in their Porsches.
