What if you were the husband? Two sides to every divorce.....

Danimal16 08-04-2012 08:24 PM

Yeah, the wife can get the lawyer to take care of this. That is the red flag I see. Girls lie too.

Jim Bremner 08-04-2012 08:59 PM

So not cool on her part.

There should be a fourth person called do nothing.

If the lady is worried about the guy going postal, all she has to do is leave to an undisclosed location until things cool down. Sounds a lot more like she's trying to get the guy real good and hurt him where it hurts most (his toys). I have seen it often, that the wives go after cars, boats, MCs, planes etc, just to piss of the guy. Not because they have any use for it or get any decent financial value.

It takes two to tango. Definitely stay out of this. Go to a stranger's house and clean out his guns!? That's insane. Why is your buddy even involved?

I'm not prone to violence, but I'm always armed, even outside the house. And, if I came home to find some strangers in my house trying to steal my guns, well, that wouldn't end well.

Cases like this one are a good reason to have a good gun safe and a few stored outside the home.

Let the cops handle it.

oh man, the wife is running a way with his kids? The man will have mental problem the rest of his life. The wife, her friends, your friends, all are being funny. They think he doesn't know how to go buy ammo?
You did the right thing.
Nothing hurts the man more than stealing his kids. Stay out of it.

gsxrken 08-05-2012 02:16 AM

And any man worked up to the point of murdering his children's mother sure doesn't need a firearm to do it. Hopefully your friend stayed away too.
Prayers for all involved.

That was one of the points I made. He can go get ammo in 20 minutes.

The police will not get involved in something like this. We do have a Deputy Sheriff (Omar) that lives in the neighborhood. He might do something like this while wearing his uniform.

I'll check with my buddy today and see if he was stupid.

Possession is nine tenths of the law!

But, I'm not sure. My ex-wife could move anywhere she wanted in Massachusetts without going back to court. Move the kid out of state and you had to take it to court. I definitely do not know what the Texas law says.

Well, I do know that if he doesn't pay his child support, he can't have a Concealed Handgun License. That is as much as I know about kids and divorce in Texas...

Sounds to me the wife is the problem. Moving out while he is away, going to blind side the guy with divorce papers, telling everybody he's violent, hide his guns, empty the house so he comes home to nothing, taking the kids out of state so he doesnt know where they are. She's trying to make this guy go postal. I should say the scum bag lawyer is trying to make him go crazy. It would be interesting to know if she maxed the credit cards and cleaned out the bank accounts also.

The wife/attorney is the POS from what I am reading.

Oh yeah should probably add. I bet your buddy is getting his information from his wife who is talking to the wife that is moving out.

sc_rufctr 08-05-2012 05:35 AM

If your courts are anything like ours they're used to people lying during a divorce.

The worst part is leaving the state with the kids. I had to watch mine walk away from me at Sydney airport. I flew over with them and handed them off to my ex and her BF. That was one of the hardest things I've ever done.

But It turned out great for me. A year later almost to the day they flew back and my ex stayed in Sydney. :D
That was 8 years ago and all three of my kids are doing great.

Meanwhile my ex moved back to Adelaide 3 months ago and she's desperately trying to reconnect with the kids. That isn't going so well. My girls are 22 and 23 and my son is 16.

Just love your kids and be the best dad you can be. The rest doesn't matter. You can recover financially. And she'll have to live with her lies to her children about their father.

Why are you sympathizing with the guy? He could be a real douchebag for all we know.

A possibility.

I came home from school one day and there was a moving truck at the house.

Mom shoved my brother and I in the car and we moved.

Not out of state but for sure my father did not know where until things cooled off.

Let's just say it was the only option.

The gal could be a douche bag as well. If this guy is a problem the courts and cops would already be involved.

Where is the woman's family????

Not in this state.

Again, I do not know any of the people personally. I am a friend of a friend's husband...
