Those pictures..........wow. God still has a few plans for Shaun.
|
Dude, my dad has an awesome set of tools.
Glad you made it - that's freaking insane. |
Pleased to hear you will be staying on the right side of the grass. Broken pelvis, ouch. Two words for you
Stool Softeners Tough to ice your pelvis. Mom broke hers skiing, brother broke his on a donor cycle. No anti-inflammatories with coumadin son, the rat poison does not mix with a lot of stuff, be advised. May be a while until you can lay down flat and be comfortable, pillows under your knees and shoulders will help, try a lazy boy or other recliner, was three months before Mom slept in a bed. |
Very very happy to have you still "with us"! As has already been mentioned, if I was closer I would be happy to work the booth for you. If I can help at all with my industry connections please let me know, and I'll do what I can!

“Good tires,” Shaun mused, casually increasing his morphine drip. “But certainly not great tires.” Get well buddy! |
Wow. That actually does look like 65mph, straight into a tree. I always assume that people are exaggerating a little in stories like this, not this time...
That was a very lucky hit and still if he'd been in most other cars, he'd be toast. Scary. Those pictures illustrate perfectly why Mercedes Benz cars are the best in the world and worth the $$ if you've got it. Obviously not everyone can afford a new one and or the maintenance on an old used one. Bu those Germans know how to build a car. |
That isn't going to do much towards that pesky drive line vibration.
|
Sorry to hear of this, Shaun. Those pics are scary... Get well soon!

That was a tree hit or something else? I thought it happened on I-95... Anyone know the whole story?
Those pics are horrific - if I saw that car-carcass in a junkyard I'd say "someone died in that car". Shaun needs to buy a lottery ticket - clearly it wasn't his time and he's damn lucky. Best wishes for a speedy recovery and thank whatever power you believe in that it wasn't that little bit worse, that little bit more to one side or the other, etc... All the best and I hope you're back in action before too long... |
Glad you are back home. I hope you have a dog to keep you company while you recover.
|
I can't help thinking this is a social experiment of some kind....

good fact that was't the Porsche.... that would be a bummer... there are tons of MBs are out there... to replace it. Rear clip still good... :-)

Good thing you were driving a MB and not a Corolla wagon as I always recommend. Good luck with the recovery Shaun.

We're all social experiments...
And since I don't think anybody has said it yet: "Relax, all right? My old man is a television repairman, he's got this ultimate set of tools. I can fix it. " Nasty wreck. Some Bodhisattvas are looking out for Shaun. |
D surely meant it in our usual twisted Pelican way..
old timers will get the ref. & joke.. & Shaun would expect 'someone' to make ref. Shaun & I sparred often.. & we've chatted on the phone.. he's a decent ,caring man.. and this social experiment shows.. we cross the line for our friends.. once mended.. I will toss him back.. Rika |

I did paraphrase Mr. Spicoli in my earlier post but it wasn't a precise quote. |
