OK, I finally got an update on Shaun. He is more alert this evening, and much better able to string thoughts together and recall memories (which weren't working too well the first two times we spoke), and his mom flew in to help take care of him. He is still at the hospital - St. Vincent's in Bridgeport, CT. The damage tally is a broken toe, dislocated hip, broken pelvis, and some cerebral hemorrhaging (plus lots of cuts and bruises).

He is hoping to be discharged tomorrow, if he gets a clean MRI on his cranial bleeding. He's going to need our continued thoughts and prayers, as he's got a bit of rehab ahead of him. He's also smack dab in the middle of his busy season at work, and had a show in NYC this week. The timing couldn't have been worse, unfortunately.

Ouch! A broken pelvis is not a walk in the park!!!

Wow, that is a lot of hurt. Please let me know if I can do anything to help.

lonewolf 08-06-2012 03:44 PM

oldE 08-06-2012 03:49 PM

Shaun,

I just read the update. That's gotta hurt!

You know I don't think there is such a thing as a good time to get yourself banged up like this.:(

Know that Pelicans from all over are thinking about you and sending healing thoughts your way.

Hoping for a speedy recovery.

All the best
Les

Hey Shaun! I promised you I'd wear that shirt! Listen, I'm gonna need more designs, this one will be worn thin soon, so please, for the love of Porsche get well soon!

(Seriously, take all the time you need. You need to heal up proper so you don't struggle later! )

All, thanks for the outpouring of response. It is going to make Shaun feel great when he recovers enough to crack open his laptop.

I have set up a paypal fund to help Shaun's recovery and respectfully call upon each member to contribute:
