Well I bought my rusty heap and now am tarting to collect sheet metal. I need to brace the car and start cutting shortly. the bad side will be that being a convertable means I may not do an LS motor as not sure how much power I want to put down. upside is the car is worth more then a coupe to most people so it is more marketable should I decide to sell it.

Oh I have had way worse my friend. I had a 914 once that was 10 times worse and that car turned out very nice. Remember I teach welding so rust does not scare me

here is as of today. driver side is all done including front toe boards and A-pillar. I have not finished welding 1/4 on until I have the whole structure one again then fit doors and finish weld. I did get the frame rail and trunk floor extension on passanger side done today and prepped/ground for new inner wheel wells. and sprayed cold galv on everything that does not get coated. Should be welding passanger 1/4 on by next week. getting closer everyday. Paint by christmas is still on track
