bad part of the season has not hit yet

miami is subject to bad storms around labor day
that is why we say

caribbean hurricanes:

June- too soon.
July-- stand by!
August-- look out you must.
September-- remember.
October, all over.

having lived threw too many canes here
I consider the real peak season 8-15 to 9-15 for major storms

btw Sharai dust is thick over much of the tropical Atlantic right now
that effects ocean temps and canes
and gives sunset colors too

It's not just a quirk but a constant change of irregular weather.

I understand communications throughout the world are instantaneous and anomalies are reported daily, as opposed from the last generation to the generation before.
Always weird weather has been, but REALLY weird weather is the norm now.
WHY ?

I don't think this is as bad as people think. Simple fact is that our communications are much better too, so a weird storm or wave in Indonesia 100 years ago would have been unnoticed by most of the world, hence u recorded. Now you find out 5 minutes later.

You can't talk about this as isolated areas. The warming is affecting all systems, globally. Greenland is losing glaciers at a higher rate than predicted (predictions are over-reported anyway by a sensationalist press). The glacier melt is what threatens sea rise. Similarly, there is some loss in the Antarctic. The Arctic appears to be progressively losing floating ice.

The loss of ice cover in the Arctic ocean and Greenland changes the way sunlight is absorbed and accelerates warming.

Small rises in temperature thaw the permafrost in a narrow band (but hundreds of thousands of acres) restarting decomposition, which releases more methane.

Worldwide, ocean acidification is rising and in combination with tiny shifts in temperature are affecting the plankton at the bottom of the food chain.

Not sure anyone has a handle on how the interconnectedness of all of these systems works out. But we're in for a bumpy ride for the foreseeable future.
