On those hoppy days anything by THREE FLOYDS in Indiana (yes Indiana)
Lacking them then alomost anything by Stone brewing in CAL BBK un pastuerized for Lager. Then for me at least almost any beer that is not Lite or Wheat based is worth a try mFlo

A whole thread on top shelf beers and no Belgians? What's wrong with you guys?
That's like a thread on top shelf whisky without any scotch. The top German and Czech beers are brilliant for that pure and simple hops/malt/water taste. But the Belgians have endless layers of complexity in their beers. Each sip is a new discovery. I have tasted God and women and the meaning of life drinking Belgian beer. I have tasted world peace and my inner child and harmony with the universe drinking Belgian beer. Try that with a Budvar.

Sorry, can't drink the run of the mill beers anymore.
I just discovered "Barking Squirrel" which is local. We are very lucky here with all kinds of micro breweries.

Never met a beer I did not like until Blue Moon. It taste like kissin' some fat girls neck that wearin' cheap perfume.

I haven't seen anyone mention Budweiser. I happen to like Bud. And it is consistent where ever you go. It might not be considered a "hipper than thou" beer, but it is good.
