Everybody loves Mustangs...
... when they are the flying kind.

That is pretty awesome, but no match for a well set up 944.
Seriously, that is AWESOME !!! |

Ignore BRPorsche, A P-38 is better than a Corsair!

I will say it's technically intriguing but not beautiful. Though it did kill one of the best naval admirals ever.

I would go for the FW-190 but the engine is not the original BMW but rather a substitute Pratt+Whitney.

Thanks for including the picture of the Zero, Max. It was the lightweight fighter of its era. It did become obsolete soon after though.
I love the shape of a P51 ! Reza

FW 190 is my fave, that and the ME 109G-14 and ME 109K4... As a kid I really liked the corsairs because of the Black Sheep squadron!

As far as shapes go, I love the later model Spitfires. I like the FW-190 since they are air cooled and German (we are on a Porsche forum afterall). But that Merlin V12 sounds great and the Spitfire is so sexy. Mustang is cool too.

I fly Aces High every once in a while, and the Spit8,9 & 14's are the most effortless and acrobatic to fly... Not too much speed (the 14 is quick) but almost as nible as a zero...
