I sold my last apple today....

Pot: How high will it go?

:)

biosurfer1 11-03-2018 01:02 PM

Now that you've sold, I'm guessing up a couple hundred percent?😁

Vintage Racer 11-03-2018 01:39 PM

I like Apple stock at these prices. I think the large cap growth stocks with much higher P/E ratios may go lower in stock price.

My short-term prediction is a good year for stocks in 2018 and 2019.

My long term prediction is stocks are always the place to be.

I did it all for you guys :). I doubt I ever get back into AAPL...but who knows? I've basically gotten out of equities except for a relatively small %....just not where I want to be anymore... for lots of reasons. Soooo....looong AAPL....but I did plant some more apple (trees) today...no complaints either way. This has been a fun, interesting, and long thread....thanks all!

It is never too late to establish an equity stock position. I think stocks will do much better than cash (or bonds) over the next five and ten years.

I agree for the long run....but I'm still gonna be "out"...for the most part...never to return ;).

Short term....who knows? Not I....

If you have firm opinions on the crash of equities, I would suggest that you buy put options on the stock or the stock sector.

This will multiple your opinion. You will be very rich if you are correct.

Being very rich would not change my life one bit. One great aspect of that is... I sure don't have to worry about it happening either ;). I'll leave that for you guys....

Anybody hanging on to their Apple stock for the long term? Disappointing third quarter results but I think for the long term I am hanging on to them. Your comments?:)

trader220 11-21-2018 05:24 AM

Why sell it now?

biosurfer1 11-21-2018 08:35 AM

I'm holding. Wish they would give a better dividend since they just sit on pile of money, but other than that I've seen no reason to think they can't weather a little turbulence.

trader220 11-21-2018 09:01 AM

The bigger dividend is the fact they're committed to buying back billions in shares.

sammyg2 11-21-2018 09:08 AM

Market Cap 845.203B

Looks like this thread has finally been answered.

$232.

That's how high it went.

Crowbob 11-21-2018 04:10 PM

A whole buncha defined benefit retirement plans are DEEP into Apple so there’s allot of retirees schitting bricks about now if Apple tanks really bad and stays down.

sugarwood 11-22-2018 06:20 AM

^ No one is schitting bricks when their position has doubled in the last 2 years.
Anyone with AAPL is sitting on a pile of profits.

I held on to my apples as they dropped 50% in value a decade or so ago...they recovered too ;).

Glad I'm out for this correction though...it's not over in the short term....all 5 of the heavyweights imo.
