Really? Weird smoke, then P.M. (accidentally but completely) nails it, then it went all NASCAR for a bit...but that Kimi pass was awesome!!

Even if Schumi was missing 6th gear, Kimi's pass on him entering Eau Rouge was absolutely phenomenal. Wow. I thought of Stefan Bellof for a split second, there.
Grosjean didn't leave enough room for Hamilton at the start.

Grosjean is an idiot. This was his 7th first-lap crash in 12 races in 2012, but this time he took out 2 top contenders in Hamiliton and Alonso.
 He's beginning to make Maldonado look like Alain Prost by comparison Post race today the FIA gave Grosjean a 50K Euro fine and banned him from racing in the next round at Monza. Seems light to me. Tim |

Yeah, I saw that too while editing my above post. But video, it looked like he lucked out and timed the start perfectly. But apparently the stewards can look at telemetry, which may have shown otherwise. The Glock incident was separate from that, no? That's how he lost his front wing, correct?

pastor must have been rolling a fraction before we (TV audience) saw him dart to the middle. Had it been legit, it would have been the best start of all time. Also the Vettel
and Schuey incident shows what a poor design the pit-in route is. I liked the old Bus- stop much better. IMO |

Maldonado said his hand slipped off the clutch, so he knew he blew the start. It was hard to see from our camera angle but the drivers on the grid next to him saw it. Even Charlie Whiting was shaking his head immediately.
Grosjean should start every race from dead last, behind the safety car, or the pit lane. Kimi's pass was one for the ages. I remember Bellof, but his last trip through Eau Rouge ended poorly... JR |

No . . . but I did drink an amazing amount of Hungarian wine. And besides, they are Zero tolerance & I was always driving.

Budapest is the people and countryside. Hungary is a wonderful country and the people love Americans, so its not hard to enjoy yourself. Plus the ladies are... well they are tall, good looking and like to have a good time. Add some excellent goulash and Budvar to the mix and its a very good time. Praha (Prague) is much the same... Monaco is the atmosphere, the sea, the absolutely wonderful views and the sound of a racing engine going around the city streets. Truthfully I enjoyed it more with the older F-1 cars, the ones that were not all automated and the driver actually drove and shifted manually. Those were men... Monza is raw speed...
