Hate Mail

Got this from jiies62952sfe

Die painfully okay? Prefearbly by getting crushed to death in a
garbage compactor, by getting your face cut to ribbons with a
pocketknife, your head cracked open with a baseball bat, your stomach
sliced open and your entrails spilled out, and your eyeballs ripped
out of their sockets.

I really hope that you get curb-stomped. It'd be hilarious to see you
begging for help, and then someone stomps on the back of your head,
leaving you to die in horrible, agonizing pain.

STFU, before you get your face bashed in and cut
to ribbons, and your throat slit.

Is it a forum PM, Hugh? Someone is raging, but it's kinda disturbing.

If it is, it's easy enough for moderators to track the source - then just refer the entire thing to the local PD and maybe the FBI.

Variations of that PM have been going around for a year or so. The first generation came from what appeared to be some kid in the UK who email blasted most of the regular posters identical emails. Those included some anti-US slogans; these are country-neutral but have the same syntax and style. It has to be the same guy. I wouldn't worry about it. I'm jealous that I haven't gotten one yet. And on PARF you just got voted the most stable and mentally healthy regular poster. Apparently our young admirer doesn't keep good track of such things.

I got the same one. I felt a little weird about it, but now I'm not bothered at all. ALWAYS good to be in the same group with Hugh.

Thanks Moses, so I guess you're saying I should let it go and not put a hit out on him?

I like the idea of contacting the FBI. They're probably obligated to investigate and quite capable of showing up on the losers door step to discuss the matter.

The mods will be able to tell you what email address they used to register here, but I'll bet it was a Gmail/hotmail type account. You would have to make a formal complaint to the FBI Cyber Crime division

FBI — Cyber Crime

They can subpoena their mail provider (Gmail/hotmail) and get the persons real address and then send the local police to talk to them.

The FBI might take the complaint more serious if everyone who got the threat complained to them.

Did not get the more recent ones, but it certainly seemed like a teenager to me when I got one way back when.

I used to laugh, delete and move on... but I recently had an issue with this.

My girlfriend is senior in HR for a large corporate and we had some dumbass who was let go from her work making abusive threats via email and at the end, at our home. Initially, I desperately wanted to go kick his face in, but we took the high road and got the Police involved.

It's still not sorted out, but when it is, this guy is going to find it hard to get an international travel visa, a bank loan, rental agreement etc... he'll be fcked for life because of his choices, so I don't find this sort of thing terribly funny anymore.

It might be best if this, err, person was spoken to by the police about their death threat. They will do the same again and again until they increase their little terror act by doing something physical then more and more.
