Custody Battle, with stripper pics
My wife testified at a hearing in a battle over custody of an 8 y/o boy. She testified on behalf of our neighbors who have raised the boy from infancy.
The daughter got pregnant at 17 and had the boy when she was 18. She lived at home with her parents for about 6 months after the birth. The daughter then moved out and has not lived with her parents since. She briefly asked for custody when the boy was 2 and after 3 weeks she returned him to our neighbors. The boy is now 8. The mom married a man who is in his early 40's. He has 6 children from a previous marriage with his oldest being the same age as his new wife. He makes some pretty good money in the debt collection business. I don't think he is in the mob. The mom worked as a stipper and probably met her new husband in the club. She has since given up stripping and is now a stay at home mom with no interest in working or getting an education. This according to my wife who heard it from the neighbor. The courts place a great deal of importance on the bio mom's rights. The boy would probably fare better with our neighbors. What do you think is gonna happen? Here is a pic.

Not sure if abandonment comes to light as the bio mom appears to have done that.
Unfortunately, the bio mom will probably win this one. In my humble and uneducated opinion... Sorry. Any dialog for shared custody? angela

I got the pic from her facebook page. Not so bright to leave pics like this on social media during a custody battle.
I know the mom, she was nice but only showed a cursory interest in the boy. For instance, every time I would invite her over for a swim party she would only send the boy.  Mom would come to the boys swim meets with some pretty daring get ups, making sunglasses mandatory.

Unfortunatly the kid will go to the mom.
In most family courts you could have video of her doing 3 guys for money while smoking crack and all she has to say is "I've changed" and the courts will side with her.

So, if that is how their daughter turned out, what makes you think they will do better with the grandkid?
Do you have a close-up of the tats? I can't tell what they are.

The mom will win if there was not legal change of guardianship.
I would recommend that the grandparents try to keep a good relationship with both, but.... If its past that point, go to civil court and sue for 8 years of babysitting fees.

Good question Jeff, the neighbors have been married for the last 10. The husband married the mom of the stripper and he has 4 good citizen children of his own. They are nice normal people. Couldn't get a better pic of the tat, but i am looking

So, stripper chick is a product of mom's previous marriage. New hubby (and step-grandpa) has four kids from previous marriage that turned out o.k. Maybe with a few more years of maturity under her belt, and a bit better foundation provided by new hubby, grandma is looking to right the wrongs of her previous effort in child rearing.
Of course, then again, with a real hubby who has kids of his own, maybe stripper mom has turned it around and wants a chance to raise her own kid and do right by him. Tough situation. Sounds like multi-generational checkered pasts, at least on the mom/grandma side of the equation. Sounds like new grandpa may be the better bet, unless he met grandma in a strip club, too. Gotta wonder about stripper hubby, if that's where he met his wife. Geez... Peyton flippin' Place...
