Never heard it. You must've had some real slags here then.

I dated a girl who was a truck driver in the Army about 25 years ago. (I was a Medic) She used that exact phrase... I'm a city boy so I was a bit surprised to say the least. She was from Northern Queensland.

The West Texas panhandle area is a very unsophisticated part of a very unsophisticated state. Basic values, thrift, honesty, the three Rs, are what everyone is raised on.
If you we're a dick, or a slacker, your genes left that world generations back.
So, I would say whatever she's doing, it's probably not a pose...

So you're saying she'll fit right in, in Australia!

Coming from someone living in Austin, not at all surprised.

Have you ever thought about moving to a real sophisticated state like New Mexico? Sure that you would fit right in with your snide comments and attitude. As well am pretty sure that those hicks in Texas would be glad to help you move...

Hey Joe, I am surprised you interpreted my comments that way. My description was meant as complimentary, as I have spent many years in that area (Lubbock, Texas Tech grad in 80s). Still go there a lot - will have Thanksgiving with family in Lubbock.

I am a lost soul here in the land of the tree huggers, but I love the hill country too much now, Porsche country for sure.
I like Texas hicks a lot...

"very unsophisticated part of a very unsophisticated state" I would love to interpret things in a more positive direction but I would never think of describing Texas in this manner.

I have lived in the Dallas area (Grapevine, Flower Mound and Carrollton), El Paso and Padre Island and my family is from the Sulphur Springs and Clarksville area, so have some roots there as well.

Love the state and its one of the few places in the Country that I would ever think of leaving Arizona for. Should it ever leave the union, it will be difficult to keep me away...

Bill, if you said that in front of my wife, she would be ready to give you a black eye.

Don't hold your breath

Peter, to hell with these dirty old men, don't post any pics of her. The mystery adds allure anyway.

Lets try not to "feed the troll" and not answer him in ANY thread. That said, even a 12 year old boy would put out better comments...

if unsophisticated means down to earth, straight forward and honest, well I could see that. I like Texas, like Oklahoma and a bunch more states. Only state that I wonder about is my home state.
