Say Hello to my little friend... and my BIG friend.

My new XDm .45 compact alongside my Ruger LCP. I really like this new XDm.

I haven't really warmed up to the XD's yet, though I'm sure they're fine guns. Have a couple of the LCP's handy.

Nice combo!

I honestly haven't warmed up to any of the tupperware guns. It may be different if there was CCW in L.A. county ...

A .45 for me will always be a 1911.

Nice! I like the XD because the grip feels very similar to a 1911, it fits well in my hand. I've shot a 9mm, .40, and .45, all were great. I ended up with a Sig P250 subcompact only because I found a smoking deal on one.

Was talking to a patient the other day, he strongly encouraged me to pick up a Ruger LCP for a CCW. How do you like yours?

Easy to carry, difficult to shoot. Looooong trigger pull, very snappy!

I'm thinking I could sell my wife on the LPC. She doesn't like larger handguns and this one should fit her hand well.

Yeah, I just can't get my head around plastic guns either. I guess they kind of fit in with today's throw away society, in a way. I just wonder how many Peacemakers, Sharps rifles, and such would survive today if they were plastic. Or if anyone would really care if they did...

Make sure she tries one before you buy. They are not fun to shoot.

It is my primary carry piece just because of size/convenience, but the last one I want to take to the range to practice with. The small size/width, low weight, and sharp recoil is "uncomfortable" at best. My hand usually hurts the next day after a session with it.

Otherwise it is a good gu... uh, spoon, flawless performance (so far for me), and a good value for the price.

Problem is, you live in Kalifornia. Can you get a CCW?

Check out the LC9. Just a little bigger, and I hear not as snappy....

Depends heavily on the county. Generally the most populated counties make it near impossible while it is much easier in more rural counties. For example L.A. county - forget about it, while neighboring Kern or San Bernadino issue quite readily.

I think Tobra is in Sac - not sure how easy it is there.

Why do people assume women need small tiny guns. A function of a pistol is to maintain some distance in a confrontation. The Lcd is a last resort belly gun, a knife would be just as effective.

Perfect review. They are little and light, all that means they have a lot of felt recoil. Snappy...now that describes it well. Good CC weapon. Easy to hide light and small. If you need it you got it. Excellent 20 ft gun. Fun to shoot? Nope. The 9 is even worse.

Just got the Ruger LCP for Mom. I was suprised when shooting it, wasn't as bad as other sub-compacts I've handled. She has small hands and it fits her well. Fired a buddies tiny kimber 9mm sub and it was a real bear in comparison... Pain... pain....

What's the laser site on that? How do you like it?
