Cobwebs. Any suggestions?

I live in a very wooded area. with lots of insects. Any suggestions for cleaning both inside and out? And any ways to minimize them....particularly indoor ones,y

You can get one of those bushy broom things... I use one and it works fine. Even an old paint brush works but be careful of them falling on your hand.

If you have a build up under the eves a pressure washer does the trick but of course that depends on were they are and be careful not to overdo it.

I do my house about once a month.

I don't know of any way of stopping spiders moving in. My kids hate them but I kind of respect them. The work hard for their food. Building a web and all that.

An old house I had was in an area of carpenter ants.

Every other year, had an exterminator spray the perimiter and fog the crawlspace for ants.
We would see no spiders in the house for a year afterwards. None.

Orkin guy once told me that if you keep knocking the webs down you'll cut down on spiders. Food comes to their webs, they don't go after food.

Paint your eaves sky blue.

Keep knocking down the webs, it will discourage them.

Remove food sources, if possible.

Caulk crevices, around windows/doors/entryways. Caulk.

Wife has me walk through first so I take down any cobwebs. Maybe find some cannon (cobweb) fodder?????

They like windows of damp dark drafty basements.
Fix that and you're good.

Most men can't see cobwebs or dust. I guess you keep having female companionship so they point it out.

all of the above, and put up some birdhouses

bird will eat its weight in bugs faster than you would believe

if the birds are eating them, the spiders go hungry

Reminds me of Jeff Foxworthy...

"If your idea of a good time is a BugZapper and a six pack... "

(Seriously... another way of getting rid of some of the spider food.)

Guineas, lavender ones. Hardy, good watchdogs, always eating stuff, provide good eggs, and taste good when you are sick of them.
