Doing a budget on a android smartphone, is there an app for that?

Wife has decided we need to get on a budget (we do... I'm a live from paycheck to paycheck kind guy).

She is old school and setting up a paper ledger... me, I am techy and just log onto my checking account a coupe times a week to check my balance.

We have Samsung Galaxy SII's with ICS and have loaded the bank app from the checking account.

I have found an app called... amazingly... checkbook... and one named moola that looks similar 'checkbook' but has better graphics. I installed those on my phone yesterday on the commercials breaks yesterday while watching football and the world series so I haven't taken the time to play with them much and see what they are all about.

This is my first smartphone and I know many of you have been in the smartphone wars longer than me, so I thought I would tap the PPOT knowledge base.

Thank you and party on...

Quicken 2013 has a way to sync the computer with your phone. I don't know if you can do it all on the phone or not. I just use Quicken on my home computer. It is a lot easier than using a phone.

Had a mint account on my computer... it was OK but a little buggy (didn't always sync all accounts) I believe the app just connects to to your online account?

Quicken? doode... that is so 2010!

I'll ask the wife if she wants to set up quicken on our home computer.

I've looked forever for an app that will show me future cash flow based on expected bills, like the old Quicken calendar view would, and finally found an app called "Balance Forecasting" in the App Store. It allows you to input all your bills, and even non-repeating, one-time expenditures, and it will give you a calendar view or graph view of future balances. Love it.

edit: I'm not sure if it's available for Android, I'm on the iPhone.

I am running Quicken 2013 right now. I have been using Quicken since 1989!

It is all in there, all 23 years of my financial history.

For the last several years I have it set up to download from my credit union. I can balance my checkbook is seconds. I can tell you to the penny what I spent on any item. I don't ever want to run the report on what I spent on some things.
