I read the news story too. I was shocked looking at his portrait photo - last time I saw a picture of him, I remember him as a pretty clean and cool looking mid-aged dude.
![]() But it looks like he has been piggin' out pretty good!!! He may be able to get a job in the next version as Jabba ... ![]() ![]() G |

I have always thought it would be cool to use the original cast in Episode 7. They would not need to do any computer effects to age them. Have them all come out of the retirement home and save the universe one more time and teach the next generation how it was done!

Skywalker Ranch is amazing. Several buildings, each a different style. The sound editing building was like an Italian Villa, as I recall (without googling it). Grapes in front that were given by Francis Ford Coppola. Full size theater in the building, several sound stages and such. All the buildings were set far apart from each other.

It's a trap!
I hope hey don't butcher the whole thing... I loved Star Wars when I was a kid and now my son knows more about it than I ever did. I'm still trying to understand episode 3. Why did Luke go over? I mean I get it but it's still a stretch. He gave up everything

But anyway, I do not think this is good news to me, the longer Disney has had possession of Pixar, the less I like their films, Wall-E being an exception. Pirates of the Caribbean 1 was good, but for the most part, I'm not too big into Disney's stuff.

He went over because he thought it was the only way to save Padme. Sidious had tricked him into thinking that he could save her life. The irony is that his going over is what killed her.

I think this is a GOOD thing.
Lucas basically lost the plot with ROTJ and the Ewoks, then came him meddling with the original "special editions" adding the CGI nonsense and the "Greedo shoots first" crap. The less said about the prequels the better--total garbage. Not to mention the last Indian Jones fiasco. Lucas may have had "it" at some point, but he is waaaaay past his prime.

I agree with Lucas being past his prime.
I like what Disney did with Marvel and most of the comic book movies...Avengers was great and I hope they can do as good or better with Star Wars. |

"...I've got a really bad feeling about this..."
But...it might just result in a new Star Wars movie with dialog that doesn't make us cringe! Hmmm.......Imagine Robin Williams doing his Aladdin's Genie thing as the voice of a young Yoda. Last edited by dw1; 10-31-2012 at 10:47 AM.. |
