Uh, don't think they'd have the Lumens he'd like...plus at only $25 or so, not expensive enough for most P-car owners...(just kidding). I do keep one in the Mustang...crazy as it sounds, this little baby gets used more often than the bigger light I also carry. IIRC, I sent you the "super glo-top" model. How's it working out for ya?

When the smoke detector is beeping for you to change the 9 volt?

Save it for use on one of these lights. Problem is, it takes forever for one of these lights to use up a battery, so I now have five or six smoke detector batteries in a drawer.

We have these lights scattered about the house. They really are handy when the power goes.

Don't laugh at the size...one was used on a hike along the entire Pacific Crest Trail, Mexico to Canada...all on one battery.

When he reached Canada, he gave the light to someone headed South...

The Pelican 7060 meets your specs exactly. It's a rugged rechargeable LED light. My favorite flashlight, ever.

My lady picked up the Costco 3 pack for around the house a while back. They are not all still working, at least one switch broke but they are inexpensive. I carry 4sevens Q Mini AA & Streamlight Stylus or a Fenix LD20. There are so many good ones to choose from.

The Surefire P2X is top notch, made in the USA and shockingly bright, but big bucks. I have various others too including the Costco ones shown above and some other Chinese tactical types. Can never have too many flashlights as far as I'm concerned...
