Follow up to Miata or Boxster thread

I really appreciated all of the input I got from everyone that posted in the thread. I ended up going to St. Louis yesterday to look at the Boxster I had mentioned. It looked every bit as good in person as it did in the ad. Recent PPI, $3K in receipts, Had an oil and filter change, brake flush, fairly new tires and more. Drove great. Not a squeak or a rattle. Here is what $12,500 will get you in the way of a 2001 Boxster with 48K miles.

Awesome ride. I'll be curious to hear your long term assessment of it.

Tip or manual? Hate to be the first to say it but look at getting the IMSB taken care of. Mine had the 18" rims on it with fatcory M030 suspension and that thing frightened me when I look down at the speedo after a fast turn.
Great cars. Enjoy.

It is a dark blue, with blue leather and blue top. Manual shift and, oh yes, I am well aware of the IMS potential problem!

Take 5 minutes and yank the intake snorkel. Lots more glorious intake noise to tickle your ear, and 100% reversible.

Which would, IMHO, totally ruin the character of the car.
