I hate TV/Movie spoon fookups....

The recent NCIS opening shows a douche nozzle trying to terminate the FBI weenie.

Close up shows a leftie with a Glock. The FBI weenie survives and returns fire....the sound track sounds like full auto, 2 triple taps....and then it cuts to the DB who falls with a gun is his RIGHT hand.....what a buncha maroons...

Law & Order SVU is the worst. Everyone carries Glocks and every time one is unholstered, you hear the safety clicking off. And they ALWAYS have their fingers on the triggers. ALWAYS. No exceptions. Surely, the prop guys know something about guns and say something to someone about this, no? How about when they show cops on the range with eye protection but no ear protection? And racking the slides back? Are you serious? I do this only after cleaning because I otherwise never have a gun without a round in the pipe already.

The last John Sandford novel had someone releasing the safety on a Glock. He's usually pretty accurate on such things.

Remind me to kick you azz the next time I'm down south!

My thing to go NUTS over in movies are inaccuracies with hazardous materials. I've seen poisonous gas placards on the wrong types of cargo tanks, wrong placards for materials, wrong ID numbers, wrong hazard classes... Even the wrong COLORS on placards and labels. You name it. Absolutely atrocious.

I'll see one of these errors and absolutely go OFF on it. Steve just rolls his eyes.

Wait...does that make me batschitcazy? Oh. Wait. It does, doesn't it...

Hey wait, I love Zeva!
I saw that opening scene where the bad guy went after Fornel in his car and got shot back thru the windshield. And never noticed the switch.

You guys do amaze me with your eye for detail! Is it a good thing or a curse?

Cheers Richard

The problem is that the mistakes are so many and so bad, that you don't need eyes to catch them. You just need ears. How about the silly richochet noises when the bullets are going through drywall or dirt? It's amazing how much click and clack noise tv guns make. None of mine click or clack when I draw, shoulder, aim, reholster, etc. I guess enough people out there are so gun ignorant, they think that's how it really is.

Oh, and The Sopranos was exceptionally bad with guns.

OH - my biggest pet peeve is when the person is firing a 1911 style pistol and snicks the hammer back. The only way the hammer is down is if the pistol's trigger has been pulled on an empty chamber, which means the chamber is empty. Maybe if it was a Sig with a decocker, but it never is...

NCIS isn't one of my shows. There are supposed to be in Virginia, but everytime they are in the woods, all you see are Live California Oaks, mostly shot at the Disney Golden Oak Ranch. Which is one of my properties. Golden Oak Ranch | A Movie Ranch Like No Other Check it out, its a cool property where we are spending almost $600 Million in infrastructure. Who else is investing that kind of money in Los Angeles? Answer, not too manyl Yeah those greedy capitalist.

Oh guns are nothing. On medical dramas if a medication is wrong 10,000 nurses phone in. Gawd (I tell my nurse GF) they are ACTORS, they are not really ill, they are on a movie set, no one is injecting them with the wrong dose, relax.

I know they are actors, and generally do what they are told, but why a Glock? Why not a Smith or a 1911 with a compensator?

I like how when people get shot on TV they put a bandaid on it and carry on. When in real life they would either be screaming for their mom or in shock. Or the 40 or so bad guys with full auto weapons can't hit the one good guy running out in the open, who picks them off one by one with his .38 snub nose.
