Kind of a socialy awkward guy...but he ran a good gas station!!! He hails from my town here....I think he pronounces it Ohzman. Letterman sure gave him his 10 minutes of fame!

I tell people:

My name is Bob and it's spelled with one "oh"........

AKA's I'd use in a bar in my younger day:

1) Juan Hung Lowe
2) Miles Long

I knew a girl whose grandmother was named Eda Beaver. She was too old to understand the humor in it.

Just to bring in a little Hollywood "flavor", Dick Sargent's (Darrin #2 from Bewitched) real name was Dick Cox. Here's a great website to kill some time and get a few Hollywood "insider" stories... The Death of Dick Sargent from Bewitched

"Trivia: After his announcement that he was gay, in 1992 Dick reunited with his Bewitched co-star Elizabeth Montgomery, to be the grand marshals of the Gay and Lesbian Pride Celebration Parade, in West Hollywood. When a reporter asked Ms. Montgomery why she was doing it, her reply (with a smile) was; "I'm doing it for the love of Dick." Well put, Lizzie."

Wasn't there a reporter on ESPN named Dick Schaap? A NASCAR driver named Dick Trickle? A lineman named Dick Butkus? All these men found their niche and grew into their roles. What I am trying to say is for every Dick there is a place.

You're going to think I'm making this up, but I knew a Price Waterhouse guy in Tokyo by the name of Bob Dick who ended up marrying a Japanese girl by the name of Suki.
