men with the name "DICK". ever gonna make a comeback?

ok. so the world is full of sophomoric people/humor. i know a few Richards..but no Dicks. did this boys name go the way of the Hitler mustache? no way this makes a comeback right?

any of you Richards go by Dick? i work with a biologist named Richard..he told me growing up he was Dick. but he had to make the change in his teens..got me thinking.

No, never...it seems to be alive and well as an adjective though

I feel sorry for any poor kid named Richard Cranium.

Like any family names, there will always be alot of Richards, but it seems to me that the world is still full of a lot of Dicks.

Good question. There are no shortages of people named Peter or with the last name Johnson, so why not?

My dad has been trying to get rid of his Dick moniker for years and go by Richard.... not working. Its so ingrained in the older generation. My teachers tried calling me Dick when I was a kid... did not let that happen

My grandpa used to wear a huge belt buckle with DICK on it. Grandma used to yell, "There's too many Dicks in this house!"

Funny thread, Vash.

I went by the name Dick till my mid 30s. Then I just got tired of the jokes and sexual innuendo. Probably didn't help that my brother is named Peter.

Richard feels too formal for me but at least the jokes have stopped.

Cheers Richard

Here in Chicago, the NBC late night newscaster is Dick Johnson, and the weather guy is Pete Sack.

Call me anything you want but don't call me late for lunch.

Seriously it could be worse than Dick. I had a school friend whose first and last initials were VD!

I just saw a realtor sign for "Dick Brown." --I suppose it's all how one wears the name.

I went to school with a Richard. I called him Rich but several of his friends called him "Ween"...as in "weenie". (Richard->Dick->Weenie->Ween)

Not sure how that was acceptable to him, but he never complained.

They all changed their names to Don. It worked for Dick Whitman.

My CFO is a dick, but she's a girl.

Why in the world would I even read this thread let alone respond? Will we ever grow up? Hell no! LOL.
Anyhow, trying to be as respectful without some future googli search finding this, umm I did have a very good customer first name Dick (and the last you delete the blank) True\\~//lick. He's also a very lucky man with a lovely wife.
