I have one of the English made guns. Got it for a birthday present about 20 years ago. I have to agree with Jeff, loads of fun and quite challenging to shoot well. My gun is in .177 caliber.

That's great that you still have a real English one, Fred. I should look around for one. Mine is one of the "commemorative" Turkish made guns. It's every bit as well made as the English guns, but it sure doesn't have the panache'. It's been my understanding that the quality of the Turkish guns goes up and down lot to lot, so I must have gotten lucky. I would love to get a Patriot (also sold as the Beeman Kodiak years ago) in .25 caliber as the ultimate pest control air rifle, but stories of the all-over-the-map quality have kept me from doing so. The Birmingham Patriots/Kodiaks are worth a fortune (in air rifle terms) these days.
