I remember reading a story about Gorbachev's first summit in Washington. On his helicopter ride from the WH back to Andrews AFB, he was totally convinced the US gov't. paid to have all those swimming pools put in people's backyards just to make him think we lived well. And now that I think about it, that flight path doesn't even cover real nice neighborhoods. So, whatever NKs in their hermit kingdom believe about us does not sound that far fetched.
