I just re-read this and it struck me. BE911SC you should be in Washington! The short version of what your saying is... The majority of people were wrong on what their favorite car in the show was.

Everyone has different tastes in cars, and many of em like different things than me.
Doesn't necessarily make em wrong.
That's why we vote.

Heck, they might even think you're wrong (but we both know better)

The drive out to the show. Wipers on intermittent, coffee still warm.

Rain let up and then just occasional sprinkles.

Very nice '87 Turbo. "Best of Show" small-block powered yellow coupe at left. Sorry, no pic.

It's always good to have a face painting booth to amp up the festive mood at events like this, but was this the best you guys could do?

My vote would have been for the '68 912.

But it's not about you.

Also, since you went off the reservation, you don't get a vote anymore, right?

I would have voted for the Buddy Holly and the Crickets bus. But it's not about me.

Personally, I'm more impressed by somebody's so called "POS" that he spent countless hours and $$ working on to get it the way they like it, rather than a vehicle that someone just walked into a dealership and handed over a check to purchase.

Great photos BE. I think I still like the look of the SC/Carrera build the best.
