That's a tough one, especially since I haven't driven any of the cars that would make that list

I suppose the top of the list would be the McLaren F1, Carrera GT and GT40

I would actually prefer the silver one over the other two.

+1 for the f1

Decisions...
The point isn't what's the most expensive car you can get that pushes your buttons. The point is what you'd get regardless of cost, what unobtainium (to you) car would you most want. Whether that's $15M or $100K. To each his own. Respect that instead of belittling it. Some guys might say Lindsay Lohan's their dream girl. Others would pick someone younger/older/prettier/less troubled.

Porsche didn't make any of those street legal. A company named Dauer did.

Notice the crest on the front is not a Porsche crest. The colors are different.

I don't know how many they made, but judging of the number of different colored ones in pictures around the net I'd say they made at least 10.

The Vern Schuppan 962 is a similar idea- although his were carbon tub cars made from scratch I believe, whereas the dauer cars did use original aluminum race tubs, converting retired 962's. So some of those Dauer road cars have race heritage.

Agree! And I would still like. 2014 911 Turbo. Not the most expensive by any stretch but it does it all for me.

AFWIW I would be very happy with Lindsey Lohan ...for a little while anyway

Here's an old pic

Of a fleet owned by a guy who posts on a pool forum I go to...take your pick. This is (was? last I heard he wanted to sell) his place in 'Vegas. Kind of makes the guy bragging about his recent RS purchase over on the tech board look poor... Kind of boring & weird, really.

Oh, ok. I thought that the fantasy was, "unlimited $$$ to spend on one car". No wait, that's what it was. And then you have guys picking some car that anyone could just go out and buy.

I would fantasize about owning something amazing that I would never be able to afford or own in this lifetime. Like an original Ferrari GTO. Most of the people here understood the proposition.

Anyone who says that LL is their dream girl has schitty taste, like saying that a common Mustang is better than an exotic car.

Paul, that guy's taste is in his ass. It looks like a bum won the lottery. The guy with the '73 RS has good taste in cars, you can't buy that.

Re-reading the fantasy posts here I don't see a lot of differences. To each his own...

And let me assure you...a common Mustang IS better than an exotic "hey look at me" car...

Just be careful what you wish for, boys...

Oh yes, how right you are. All those people who live in a run down trailer park have it figured out.

Just one? Man I don't know if I have just one I could pick. My mood changes by the minute. I had trouble last year on the name your top ten. Certainly most of what's already been posted. Like the 288 GTO, Gull wing, GT40. The tank on certain occasions. But there are so many great cars that would have to be considered. The 550 spyder, 166mm, Stratos, A Dussey. But a few of the cars that come to the top pretty quickly would be:

But I guess if I could have only one then it would have to be this one...

After all it also floats and flies. My girl would be Truly Scrumptious and her daddy is rich.
