Downton Abby... wife forced it on me... I expected to hate it, however it is very good.
We DVR NCIS and Elementary... need to see if I can catch Sherlock on Masterpiece. Also forced to watch Brothers and Sisters... also expected to hate it... a little emo but still pretty good. Just for ballance... forced to watch Private Practice... and HATED IT!!!!

One more vote for Sherlock. The season 2 opener is some of the finest television production I've ever seen. It's available on both Netflix and Amazon Prime streaming.
Give the British version of House of Cards a try. I found it to be quite good but nowhere near as slick as the US version. It's kind of fascinating to see how the US version evolved and expanded on the ideas of this show from the 1990s.

There were a few good miniseries on syfy in the last few years. Tin Man was good as was Alice.
While not everyones cup of tea, the Highlander series with Adrian Paul was fun to watch (especially the episodes with Roger Daltrey.) Crusoe was short lived but pretty good.
