OJ Simpson....
Where does OJ think he is coming from to appeal the decision on his holdup conviction? It will be interesting to see what happens in this situation because perhaps they are still holding the two murders over him still? Your thoughts!
I can't believe these slimeballs and that includes Jodi Arias..... |

Backhanded justice is better than no justice at all.

OJ looked bad, hasn't aged well in the last 5 years, and it looked like he was walking funny, oh well, that's Karma for ya.
Imagine being in OJ's position, no no, not the grabbing your ankles position, innocent guy, spending more time in jail for something he didn't do, he'd grasp any opportunity to get away from jail and his cellmate Karma even if its only for a few hours for a few days. IMO, OJ is where he belongs, in jail. Its a shame that the system in both our countries allow for appeals with no merit. Finn

I agree that OJ is where he belongs. I hope they keep him a long, long time!

The whole issue seems to be about him not taking a plea bargain and 'chancing' it.
Oh well.... |

Side note, OJ is incarcerated at a prison about an hour's drive from where I live. I work with a few guys who have relatives who work at the prison who have gotten to know OJ a bit. One includes a horticulture instructor with OJ in his class. They say the dude is looking pretty damn old, prison has not been good to him, as it shouldn't.

I'm no OJ fan or apologist, but I don't think he should die in prison for the charges he got in Vegas. Definitely an idiot, but I'm pretty sure he didn't think he was doing anything really wrong and wouldn't have done it if not put up to it by others. Telling everyone to not leave the room is a far cry from kidnapping. And the judge said his guilt and sentence had nothing to do with his having skated on murder charges in 1995. If that's true, then he should be out by now. Otherwise, the previous trial heavily influenced the most recent one.

I can't help but remember OJ as a football player, ad man for a rental car commercial flying over benches, commentator for sports events. Howard Cosell (sp?) would criticize him for being a mush mouth. But he had sports cred, and I enjoyed his work.
Then....pride got the best of him and led him to destruction. He should be in jail for life for killing his wife...but he outspent the prosecution and got off. And then couldn't learn his lesson by thanking God and turning over a new leaf, but turned into the real thug he was all along evidently. Oh well. Be sure; your sins will find you out.

I don't really care one way or t'other about the Juice anymore, but my feeling is, had he committed this robbery without the murder trial in his background, he probably wouldn't have even gone to jail. Because of his infamy, I doubt that he could have jaywalked without severe consequences and he should have known that. Squeeky clean needed to be his way of life, and he failed. Stupid move on his part, IMHO.
