I saw a documentary with Daryl Hannah playing a mermaid, and I'm pretty sure there was a vagina. You see, after the mermaid is out of the water for a minute, the human lower half appears.

They are fish on the bottom so I assume they lay eggs that are then fetilized by mermen..which means no mating fun.
