New .22 target/varmint spoon

Ruger 22/45 Target Pistol.vBeen looking at picking up one of these for awhile. Friend bought one, never fired it, then sold to me. For the price, it has a nice feel when firing and extremely accurate. The sights are removable so you can add a scope.

^^I have a MK II that I will never sell.

When break it down the first time to clean, make sure you get smart on reassembly since, if the 22/45 is like the MK II, it is a bit tricky and takes patience.

Enjoy!

DITTO...

A scope on a 22 target pistol is an oxymoron. As in like WHAT FOR? She will do quite fine just the way she is...and that is shoot better than you can .

Target gun.......

You might want to consider a nice set of walnut (or other wood) target grips. They should help you be more accurate and are easy to change back when desired. Besides, a set of custom grips makes the piece more "personal".

That looks more like a Mk I/II/III than a 22/45

Thanks for all of the input. I don't intend to put a scope on it, just pointing out that a person could.

And yes it is a Mark III 22/45.

I have never taken mine apart, just blast it out a can of carb or brake cleaner then oil it up. Run a bore-snake down the barrel with some Hoppes and call it a day.

Nice. They are pretty easy to to take apart. And once you know how, pretty easy to put back together again.

Kurt, that is not a 22/45 handle. If your barrel is marked that it is, someone has changed grip frames.
