Just cleared waivers... it's a tough league to find a job.

Where is the NFL farm league?

speeder 09-02-2013 07:18 AM

Canada?

Lapkritis 09-02-2013 07:35 AM

There are places to play still. CFL is the first step. Arena is next and where I think he would excel and sharpen his decision making/reaction time for pass target selection. Arena is, however, hell on your body; lots of venues are like playing on concrete with a thin layer of carpet. You don't want to spend too much time in these leagues taking a pounding as you'll pay for it for the rest of your life.

Below that is regional semi-pro where most guys have day jobs and never played at or above the highschool level. Here you're playing for the love of the game and usually paying cash out of pocket. This is the end of the line.

Doesnt make sense.

53 players, that's the roster. If you keep Tebow, who are you giving up? Every year there is a new crop of fast, hungry kids that want that last roster spot.

Well while his talent as a QB is debatable he does posses enough of it to make plays.

He has demonstrated the ability to run. Don't know how well he can catch.

I think a TE that can also play QB would be attractive and create a lot of opportunity for designing creative plays.

Don't believe I've ever heard that one before...let alone seen it spelled.
Would that qualify for a Spelling Bee?
:)

I like making up words sometimes, that one was a special word just for Sammy. :)

The guy completes roughly 45% of his passes. Being that bad it would be more of a story if a team actually did want him. Denver won with him because of their D and in spite of him and not because of him. In some of those wins Tebow was 10 of 21, 9 of 20, 9 of 18 and my favorite was 2 of 8. In those games the Denver D was giving up an average of 11 points a game.

I wonder if anyone would know who Terry Bradshaw was if he came into the league today.

Lapkritis 09-02-2013 03:58 PM

Heck yah, that's the nutrisystem guy...

;)

Tim Tebow, after being cut by the New England Patriots last week, has refused to change positions after a NFL team expressed interest in him, SI’s Peter King reported on NBC’s 2013 NFL Kickoff show.

Tebow wants to “keep the NFL dream alive” and has turned down offers to play in the CFL along with an offer from USA Rugby to change sports, King said. Tebow only wants to play in the NFL and will only return if given the chance to play quarterback.

speeder 09-06-2013 07:24 AM

Is there a team weak enough to want him? maybe just for the PR?

Yes, the Jags are more than weak enough, just too stupid to do anything about it. It is already a proven fact that when pick up Home town players who played for UF they sell more tickets...

Yeah but he can't toss a ball like this guy.

Wow..I have seen the Alex Tanney video before but always thought it took him a ton of attempts. That new video seems to verify he is crazy accurate. It's a little differnent with 300+ linemen rushing at you though:)

Will he take a Million to play 2 games in Russia? Playoff....and assuming he wins the first....

And you never hear a player thank god in post game interviews.

No I did not. I did not say that. I suggested they were market conscious, scared of religious controversy, scared of alienating a whole bunch of athiestic idiots who hate tebow and refuse to admit his accomplishments.
People who are either ignorant or dishonest enough to say tebow can't deliver in the NFL, when he delivered so well it was considered "the miracle season".
People who suggest tebow isn't good enough when he's already proven otherwise.
People who purposefully choose to ignore how tebow took a looser team at 1-4, and won seven of the next 8 games and took them to the playoffs. how many teams start off 1-4 and make the playoffs? None. Not without a miracle.

That's what I said. Intentionally twisting it to mean something else is dishonest.

You mention other players who thank God, others who pray, how many of them got the media attention that tebow got about his religious views? none.

How many of them had a rule change specifically to stifle his religious views and reduce religious controvery? None.
(tebow rule, look it up).

The NFL is Ok with religion as long as it kept reasonably quiet, is kept low-key, and doesn't cause controversy.
But if it breaks those rules, crosses those lines, it will be eliminated.
Unless of course a black player claimed to me a minister and started sharing his faith, that's a whole different story. That's down.

AFC-911 09-15-2013 08:59 AM

Trent Dilfer is a better QB. lol
