SR18 is a mountain pass two lane POS with lots of rolling hils. It's considered one of the most dangerous highways in WA state if not west coast. It's always loaded with semis as well. It's a "headlights always on" kind of road.

dumb, dumb dumb place to try a car.

It appears to be a 911 of some sort from the undercarriage photo shot from the ground. Judging by the hole left from where the door handle was, I'm going to guess a 996 Turbo if it was hanging with that ZL1.

It sounds like the driver will be okay, thank goodness. Many people are not so lucky. I totally agree with Randy, this is probably the most dangerous stretch of road in the Seattle area. Maybe the driver wanted to make time by taking the Hwy 18 short-cut to save time. It's tempting to do that, but it's too dangerous, not worth the risk. I haven't driven that road in years.

The Porsche has green wheels - pretty distinctive. Someone on this site probably knows the car/driver or IS the driver...

Is that the donut from the Porsche?

Looks like the Camaro took a hit also, may explain why he did not run.

Front tire is turned and looks flat in this shot.

Other side the wheel is straight and looks like some damage at the front of the flare.

Car looks to be in the same spot in both pics, note line on ground in line with driver door.

Dumb asses.

I hope there is some jail time for both drivers. I wonder if the insurance company will pay up if the driver was racing? I hope not.

What a dumb ass.

SR18 in Auburn crossing the Green River is very benign. They state they were East bound and seeing the 3 lane in the pic, were probably going up the Lea Hill area by Green River CC.

This area is not curvy but long sweeping corners. The semi's do have a serious issue pulling the grade on this hill.

It was not the road or design fault of SR18 in this area.

I agree. It's not the road, it's the idiot(s) behind the wheel(s). They could have done this anywhere.

Sucks to be them. At least they didn't kill anyone.

Reminds me of the two morons in the silver C5 and C6 corvette north of Houston.

I wonder if the Camaro got caught behind slower traffic in the right lane and clipped the right rear of the Porsche as it went by, causing it to spin... basically a pit maneuver.

Flipped it looks like a base 996.

Boy, it is so easy to lambaste someone that has been in an accident. Most pelicans I know are fairly aggressive drivers, myself included.

I keep hoping they aren't really green, and it's just a weird lighting affect that's part of the crappy pictures. Maybe they are a yellow/bronze color that just didn't photo well from the helicopter.

Green wheels like the 918 edition 997 turbo... oh wait, those are green brakes on that.
