Love the new UI look and feel - being able to move through years, month and day - plus I really did not like the old school address book and calendar:

I will hold off getting the new S until then as well.

The calendar is driving me nuts. It is forcing me into a day planner view of a single day blows. I've often got appointments spread all over the day so I have to scroll to see what I've got at 9am and what I've got at 9pm. With an agenda or list view, I can fit most days onto a single screen.

Try tempo. It has some cool features. Especially automatically dialing conf call codes that are in an appt.

Argh.... I can't get damn iTunes updated to download the iOs update...

You should be able to load directly to the device. iPhone or iPad.

Any issues with downloading it? How's the download speed: the typical 5-10 minutes, or longer?
I had no problems this afternoon. It took about an hour total. Should be shorter when the rush is over.

Sid, you just need to get a Windows computer. ;)

I agree thus far with different not better, but I've only had it for an hour. At first blush I don't like the lighter low contrast color scheme, I need to play with settings and themes to see if I can tweak it. The double click home button shortcut brings up a much easier to navigate screen that seems to be sorted by app usage which is nice. Text has bigger bubbles and is easier to read. Emails you now have to swipe left to erase, why the change there?

I do like the new camera UI, the swipe from the bottom settings shortcut is nice, and I like how Safari automatically maximizes the screen.

likely some changes are for consistency - maybe even consistency with things in development & not yet released

but, I will let you guys gamma test it all before I move...

How about the list of appointments presented in Notification Center?

just did my ipad and 2 phones all at the same time at @ 15 minutes total. i dont really care for the new updated look and dont like the 'software feel' of the apps if that makes sense ( before you could select an app or type and it was like a direct connection, like a typewriter, now it has the soft bubble feel and everything takes an extra second to become active if that makes sense) and really dont like the white background. Much preferred the black background with white numbers/letters. Funny thing is, wasn't the release before 6 the other way around? it took me 10 minutes to figure out to erase selective text messages. Whew! I was in a panic there for a few moments.

and question, on ios6, you could double tap the home button and see which apps were running in the background and simply hover over them to you got an 'x' and then shut them off, but i dont see anyway to do this on this update and i have a lot of apps running i would like to shut off!

iPad done, took about 30 minutes. Haven't really used it, but enjoying the visual change up.

Phone starting now.

Jesset100 09-18-2013 05:35 PM

So far I dig it. The ability to block calls that I don't want, sweet!
