Thomas Edison? Excuse me?!?

I saw this commercial for the first tine last night. It ticked me off enough that I send a slightly nasty-gram to Mazda. Wasn't surprised to find other people had done the same.

I wonder if anyone can tell me why it irked me.

Tesla was a scientist. Edison was a marketer.

Tesla was a genius.

The commercial bugged me, too. Nothing like continuing the disinformation

The mazda marketing folks are just continuing a long and distinguished tradition of mis-information regarding Edison and his marketing....

Wouldn't they need Edison family approval to use his name?

Tesla was abused by Edison.
They just gave the Patton rites to Tesla for radio, which had been given to Marconi (maybe last year)
