Great redo - thanks for the link...

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I've watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in the rain. Time to die.

What IS the secret to getting things to embed here? I've run into this myself.

go to the original YouTube video - under the poster and number of views, along the line with the thumbs up / thumbs down symbols there is a menu line - 'About' 'Share' 'Add To' - under the 'Share' menu a bunch of stuff will come up (ways to share on twitter, facebook, etc) - near the top of these choices is 'Embedded' - when you click on that it will give you a bit of code that you can copy and then paste here...

Awesome.

Decker is a replicant. I hope the reboot doesn't suck.

So they made this trailer clip look like an old film from the 1930's.

What's the big deal?

It always had a romantic tone to it, just exaggerated now.

Blade Runner is one of the all time greats. I hate to see it in the can as a prequel. Still, that's better than a remake. One thing that absolutely set the tone of the original flick, and that will never be duplicated in any remake or prequel or sequel, is that phenominal soundtrack by Vangelis. I listen to the official CD of it often. The music is soaring (End Titles) and moody (the clip in the trailer), and so many other things.

my goodness, just read that link. This movie will suck - Michael Bay actually thinks the secret to a better Blade Runner is technology and effects! He completely misses the point. It has nothing to do with that - it is about dialogue and mood. There is far more to cinematography than special effects. In fact, the quality of many of these movies is inversely proportional to the amount of CGI baked in.

Good chance I have heard that CD upwards of 10,000 times.
No joke.

It's alright...

So many versions of the original. Michael Bay will turn it into Bad Boys 3. Ugh.

What version of Blade Runner actually preserves the original inner-dialogue? I've got like 3 floating around my apartment and can never find it.

Nice...and one of the best movies ever. What a script! And cast!

Not too optimistic about the prequel....too many special effects in modern movies. I'm not impressed by loudness and lots of bright flashing stuff....

FP did you memorize that dialogue? I'm impressed.

Starting with my visit to the set, I've been a Blade Runner fan. Best version is the last DVD version (more unicorns; no v.o.).

Best trivia: Rutger Hauer wrote the 'tears in rain' and did the thing with the dove -- on his own. Ridley Scott was smart enough to use it.

Oh, and Michael Bay is a hack.

True. But he often came up with funny titles. For example, Blade Runner is based on his book, "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" Great book.
