Guy in town stalled out on his project. Too small for me. But the wife and kid should have fun on it.

There was a storage unit sale in the little town of Santa Fe, TX. 90% trash, but I saw this old leather satchel. I looked inside and it seemed to have some old cameras. The lady said, "how about 10 bucks?" Well, when I got it home, I realized that these were more than just old cameras.

+ Canon Rebel T3 with a 75-300mm lens, an 18-55mm lens and 32gb SD card
+ Canon Vixia HF G40 video camera with 512gb and 32gb SD cards
+ Canon Vixia HF R700 video camera with a 32gb SD card

Along with various chargers and batteries and a throwaway pair of binoculars.

You never know!

Not a big score, but I bought a leather belt off eBay for $1.55. After shipping and taxes, about $8 to my house.

The catch is, it is 72" long. I find it hard to imagine a guy who needs a 72" belt.

But, my wife bought a saddle with a nylon latigo. A new leather one from the farm store is about $30. Punch a few more holes in this belt, and it's going to work just fine. I might use the buckle on one of my belts, it's pretty nice.

I had to look up latigo. I found out that there is often a double latigo on a saddle.

The big takeaway, though, I thought it would be pronounced 'la TEE go', but I was wrong!

Listen to Garth Brooks song "Rodeo".
"...it's spurs and Latigo..."

I picked up 4 of these 3/4hp vacuum pumps that were used in a print shop for only $20.00 each. New they list for over a $1k. My son wanted two of them for doing fiberglass work, and I wanted one for doing A/C in all the cars and have the other one listed on FB marketplace for $300.

That's not just an MG.

It's an MGB-GT!

Bill Douglas 06-23-2024 05:08 PM

Better still, it's a MG BGT without an engine. Which means it's a suitable candidate for a Rover V8 :)

porsche930dude 06-24-2024 04:32 AM

Yeah its a good one! Same as that its a 67 with red interior. Iv got the original engine in my garage he just took it apart 15 years ago to spruce it up. 70k its not worn out. Probably going to extract the car this afternoon. There is no door so we have to shimmy it out. And two inoperable cars blocking it in. I just hope it rolls

Not the biggest find on here but a win never the less.

$10 for the pair at an estate sale. Started using them the day I bought them. SmileWavy

I found this locally for $200. It's a beast.

They go for $750 easily. I thought it might be stolen, but it was a retiring contractor, totally legit.
