Artificial turf....from my Mom's neighborhood yesterday. In pretty good condition - no odors or stains.....

Not quite a garage sale - but the Woodworker's Guild of Georgia (whom I'm a member since 1995) hosted a parking lot tool sale recently. These tools were leftovers from previous estate sales where we organize and price tools of woodworkers to assist their families where they need help once their family member has passed. We collect a commission on the sales.

Anyway - each of the sanders were $10, the planer blades were $15 and I paid $1 each for the other items.

What is the second tool from the left with the measuring marks on it? Or, how is it used with that block?

Used to scribe lines parallel with an edge. The thin dark line at the top protrudes through the beam. The block has a set screw. The scale allows you to set the distance from the edge. Drag the scribe lightly along the surface.

Best
Les

I picked up a posi Jeep rear end this morning for 150. He threw in a clogged up cj2a radiator and 6v generator. Its from a 67 cj with 4:88 ratio. So since my cj5 already has a posi and its the wrong carrier since it has a lower ratio I can use the posi in my FC and the brakes on the rear of my 2a. The old originals are 9" non self adjusting and the 67s are 10" self adjusting. Plus my shoes are shot anyway. So its good parts for future projects

No I didn't Byron.

I don't really look for curb alerts online. Just when I happen to see them while out and about.

Guess they call that the organic method.....;)

So I showed all this to my wife. Her response...."Do you really need all this?"

My reply, "Ask me again when I use one of these to fix something around here that's broken"

How about a Goodwill find? Picked this up for 100 bucks this morning at the Goodwill in Lagrange, Georgia!!! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...df714a2799.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...c21d491cf1.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...8b4dee5b62.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...82826007ca.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...6c45f138cc.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...915cb995e0.jpg

Nice score, Marty - that looks like fun!

Zeke 10-16-2023 01:13 PM

But it's not a Hobie.

Does look like something easy to sail for fun. Like a lake rental boat which is about my speed sailing wise.

greglepore 10-16-2023 01:28 PM

I learned to sail on a Snark, bought at Woolco (remember them?). I think they were like $200 new, lol.

Baz 10-16-2023 01:49 PM

I used to have a sailboat.......good name for it too! :D

I also learned to sail with a Sea Snark when I was 10 years old, then when I was around 14 or 15 I got a 14 ft Hobie Cat. Moved out to the beach in 1987, Sandestin area, place called Tango Mar, and the rental house had a Sea Snark, owner said I could use it anytime I wanted so, I would get off work at 2pm and be on the beach by 2:30!!! That little boat was beat up but it was a blast sailing up and down the beach, I'd go out as far as the sandbar, man that was fun. Now of course I have the Hobie 16, but thos Snark will be a fun little boat, easy to set up and just go!!! Now I need some warmer weather!!!
